Thanks to clear requirements, a focused development approach and close collaboration, an initial testable version of the product was produced.

Digital companion for perioperative physiotherapy
With leah, a digital platform is being developed that supports patients around surgical interventions, from pre-operative preparation to post-discharge support.

Together with the leah team, we have quickly transformed the product idea into a functional first version: from requirement definition to the development of an MVP in just four weeks to the accompaniment of the subsequent test phase.

The challenge
The idea emerged from clinical practice: patients need clear information, exercises, and orientation around surgical interventions, often over several weeks.

The challenge was to translate these professional and emotional requirements into a digital product that:
  • is simple and reliable for patients
  • can be integrated into clinical workflows
  • and can be deployed quickly in a real test phase

Instead of going through long concept phases, the goal was an early, testable product version.
Structuring requirements and defining the scope for the first version
At the start of the project, we worked with the leah team in a workshop to structure and prioritise the requirements. The focus was on identifying the key user needs and clearly defining the scope for an initial version. The aim was to create a functional product version that could be tested quickly and already covered the most important use cases.

For us, it was not just speed that was important, but above all clarity: a product that is structured in an understandable way, focuses on the most important functions and creates a good basis for genuine user feedback. This enabled Leah to move swiftly from the design phase to practical testing.

Result: A functional MVP as a foundation for early tests with real users
With leah, a first digital platform could be created in a short time that supports patients along the perioperative treatment process and at the same time provides valuable insights for the further development of the product.

The MVP allows the team to test the concept early in practice and iteratively develop the platform.
